Yo yo yo, what is going on? Isaac Mashman here and welcome back for another episode of Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman, the show that is all about helping you become a more capable individual. Now today, I do not have a traditional episode and I'm not releasing an interview. That's not what today is. Rather, this is a time of a reflection and this is a very interesting and I would dare say special episode because I am going to be playing you the first ever podcast I recorded. Now this goes way back to 2018 at the very beginning. I was still in high school at the time to set the stage for what you can expect and this was when I was actually unsure what I was doing, right?

Like I was at the time running a clothing line called SBR Peril, Success Before Rest Peril and it's what I started. It's one of the first things that that I got, you know, that I used to get involved with business.

And then I was also starting to dabble into network marketing and expanding my network and starting social medias. And if you wanted to verify this, you could go back to my Twitter and you can see that my first in, or my first Twitter account was created in 2017 in November. And so I was going through my Google Drive the other day and I saw that I had the old podcast episodes from the first ever podcast, the Isaac Mashman show. And I kept diving and looking at round a little bit more and I had episode 1. And it was 4 minutes long and I'm going to include the entire thing you can listen to the entire thing if you want to or you can listen to 30 seconds. But this podcast set the stage for every single thing since.

If I never recorded that one episode, nothing would have happened with Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman. Nothing would have happened with my public speaking. I highly doubt I would have had a lot of the opportunities that I've been presented with. And what you're going to find listening back through this audio is that I was clueless on what I was doing. I sounded horrible, the confidence was lower, I sounded very monotonous at points, and I had people back then say that it sounded really good, but I just remember going back through the audio and criticizing every single thing about it. I went through and listened to it like 20 different times to just start to feel semi-comfortable with some of the mess-ups quote-unquote that I had. And as I was listening back through it the other day, I could pinpoint and predict when that mess-up would happen.

And there's one time at the very end that's like that you can get behind. And I said that. And I was like, man, I know that this is about to come up. Like I remembered it because it's like I was almost having flashbacks of that moment. I think that it would be a really really interesting thing to be able to have you guys listen to it and tune into it And you could take away from it whatever you want to take away from it now This was recorded in February of 2018 on an old LG phone. I was an Android phone that You know I bought for I think like 40 or 50 bucks might have been 80 bucks regardless I just recorded it in the voice memo and the funny thing is from there I had 20 episodes of the Isaac Mashman show ranging from 2018 to 2019.

Now I scrubbed the web of them so you you're not able to find it but I want to be able to present episode one because I think that it's going to be a really really interesting thing especially looking back on you know a couple years down the line in the future. So without further ado here it is and then afterwards I'm going to do a quick commentary on it. Alright welcome to episode one of the Isaac Mashman Daily podcast. Now I'm really excited to see what will come of this. I have absolutely no clue in all honesty. So basically I'm going to use this episode as an introduction for myself and tell y'all a little bit about what I am doing and give a brief overview of the goals I have for this podcast in future episodes.

So I am a 17 year old entrepreneur from Florida and a senior in high school. Thank God graduation is approaching. So as of now I run a clothing line called Success Before Esteparel, also known as SBR apparel that aims to motivate and encourage future generations of buyers and individuals.

I know that kind of sounds like a catchphrase, but if you ever follow me on social media, you will see that that is what I live by. So in addition, I am planning on starting up a media and marketing company in the near future as well as an e-commerce drop shipping business. I'm not going to bore you all tonight over all those small details, but it is definitely interesting and something to look forward to in the near future. So as far as how I got to this point of doing this podcast and just the business, towards the end of last year, I realized that I really did not like where my life was going.

You know, it was just tumultuous and I was going through some unforeseen circumstances, which, you know, I've kind of went into 2018, but I am making the best of it.

So the thought of doing nothing but working my entire life was just like it loomed over me and I did not like it whatsoever. And of course the urge to make money was a huge factor as to why I got started. But over the weeks and months it started to become a lifestyle. It started to change the goals, the aspirations. So I wanted to live the lifestyle that most people don't have the chance to. And that just means so much to me. You're not just a businessman overnight. It takes time to shape out who you are, who you become. Which that's another topic which I will probably touch on in future episodes.

So I began to find myself staying up long nights studying others and what they were doing. Oftentimes called social media influencers, I'm going to have to do an episode in itself on those.

But I was just studying people with thousands and thousands of followers. And I don't want to say that I was covering what they had, but that was definitely key in what I was doing, my motivation. I was like, if they can do it, why can't I do it? So like I said, everything was changing. I knew social media was going to basically be the way I grew my business and introduce myself into the world. Hence, now I'm doing this podcast to help y'all out and just grow the presence. So I really was not sure at that time. As for the goal of this podcast, I am basically aiming to provide daily and motivational content for people from all walks of life. I don't care what color you are, race you are, anything, any of the above, you are all welcome.

We are all a part of this family. So whether you're going through a difficult time or you're just looking for an extra pick me up, I promise you, I promise you, I promise you that you have come to the right place. And later down the road, I would love to expand this and do live Q&A's, email responses and more. You know, later in the future, I am also planning on doing a vlog series via YouTube and I'll probably end up expanding the podcast to other platforms. So make sure you contact me if you have any ideas on other platforms that I could go to. So I'll be going into more detail into future episodes of the podcast, but for right now, I just want to get acquainted to you all and get to know my audience and introduce myself.

And if you have any thoughts, opinions, or comments, feel free to contact me on social media basically on every single social media platform my handle is Isaac Mashman. Mashman being M-A-S-H-M-A-N. And I just appreciate you for, I just appreciate that you're listening to me right now. And I look forward to what the future has in store. And make today great and until next time remember this is my catchphrase which I am trying to lift behind success before rest. And I'll definitely go into more detail about that, about what that means and the overall motto. So thank you all and until next time. Oh my God, I am cringing so hard right now.

Now you're probably like what the hell happened to this kid. Now I'm not saying down in a way of like I'm bragging but guys I have put in the freaking work to make sure I do not sound like that anymore and I'm actually able to talk about an idea clearly without just so many stutters and ums and it got better over time and I wanted to really record this for those of you who are looking to get involved with public speaking or looking to start a podcast or maybe you have already started one.

We get started with these different endeavors and we can never anticipate to be perfect at the beginning. We're actually going to never be perfect, but we improve with time. As you practice, it gets easier and easier and easier. Even then, I know sometimes recently I'll be recording a video and I have to record it 20 times in order to finally get that one take that I truly enjoy, love and respect. That's the same thing with the podcast. I used to overthink every little aspect. And if you were to listen to some more of the episodes, which I can very well play in the future, we'll see, we'll see, take it day by day, you could hear birds chirping in the background, you could hear dogs barking, I would be outside walking in the yard, recording an episode at my grandparents' house.

And that first episode was recorded during a time in my life where I was confused, I was dealing with issues at home. And that was when I recognized subconsciously, I didn't even realize it cautiously until years later, that business would be my therapy. That business and entrepreneurship would be the one thing that takes me to the next level, and it would be the thing that allows me to take my mind off of the present issues at hand. And so, you know, there's not really anything else to talk about pertaining to that episode aside from one, I'm no longer doing a clothing line. And to any of you who are looking into getting into involved with one, understand that the only way that you're going to make profit of reason is by growing a huge, huge international brand.

There is no money to be made in a clothing line unless you scale it. Otherwise, you're getting paid $5 a T-shirt, $10 a T-shirt, and it takes you forever to get people to buy it because you're building a brand from the ground up now. I'm not saying that to deter you, but I'm saying that to talk about my experiences. Aside from the podcast, it was never a daily show. It was not called the Isaac Mashman Daily. That was me starting off, and I didn't even know what I was naming my podcast. And then next up, none of the things that I was doing back then I'm doing today.

But I was putting myself out there because I knew that the more I put myself out there, the more people would begin to catch onto the journey and the process and you know, as I built out my personal brand.

This was the very, very beginning stage of my personal brands before my website, before Chase the Vision, before the articles, before the interviews, before being on conversations and on phone calls with people of billion dollar companies and of million dollar companies and serving clients way before Mashman Ventures was ever even conceived of. Now during this time I had the idea of maybe calling it Mashman Media and that was when I created my social media account for Mashman Media on Twitter and I never did anything with it. I made a very rudimentary logo and then I put it to the side and I pursued other avenues until I eventually recognized that personal branding and building out a company's brand with public relations was the thing I wanted to pursue.

It was before I had a team of over 10 people working for me. It was the precursor to all of this and if I would have listened to myself and be like, man, I sound like a freaking idiot. What would have happened? You wouldn't be listening to this today. I wouldn't be helping you in whatever way I might have helped you in or I wouldn't be able to provide value. And my journey and dreams would have been gone. You know, if I didn't see something at the end of the tunnel, a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, man, I probably would be in college right now.

I don't think you can quite grasp how important this episode was for me. And I don't even remember what was the first initial thing that got me to record it. I think it honestly was Gary V. And I don't listen to Gary at all. Like I don't like what he talks about anymore. I don't, like I feel like they're stages to this. And I feel like he does talk normally about what people want to hear, but not what they need to hear. But that's aside from the point, but I saw that he had the Gary V audio experience. I was like, damn dude, I can do the same thing.

And then I decided to make it my own unique podcast, my own unique show. And thank you for following my journey. Thank you for following along as I'm growing and scaling and figuring things out.

And for the first time ever, within the past couple of months, we're on track to do some record numbers. I'm on track to hit my goals. I'm on track to really make some things happen and pop. And I hope that you appreciate that episode as much as I do, because without it, I don't know where I would be today. So thank you guys and I would love to get your comments on it, get your thoughts on it, shoot me a message, tweet at me at Isaac Mashman and be on the lookout for a new interview every single Friday and an episode every single Monday, which is going to be a monologue. Much love.
