listening to Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman. All right, we are 47 episodes in to Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman and I am super excited. I know 47 is a random number, but it has always been my favorite number for some reason. I don't have a particular one. It's like 47 has always stood out. And as I look back over the first podcast that I ever recorded, I only got 20 episodes in. I stopped at 20. And now I've more than doubled that and I'm going towards the 50 mark here in a couple of weeks, and then from there, I'm just looking to put out 104 podcast episodes by the end of this year. So I have some ground to make up, and I have a lot of work to do. I have a long ways to go.
And guys, today I'm going to be telling you something that I really didn't recognize the power of until later down the road. It's one of those things that you hear, and you don't really take it to heart. It's something you hear, and you're like, well, obviously, this is what it is. And, you know, I always thought that it was like some firm thing that I had to do right then and there. And in actuality, it was something that I had to do progressively over an extended amount of time. Right? Oftentimes when you're doing personal development, when you're studying, when you're learning new things, when you're reading books, when you're listening to new podcasts, a lot of the information that you consume will not manifest itself in your life directly.
However, you could be on a training call, you could be on a call, you could be on a prospect call, whatever it might be.
And then all of a sudden you pull that little strand information you learned a couple years ago and it comes up at the right moment at the perfect time that gets you the perfect result and it almost feels like magic. It flows like magic and this is one of those things that is a great example. I've done a lot of growth over the past couple of years and the entire premise of this show is right about personal development. That's the description of the show. I talk about this almost every single episode and honestly I'm going to stop repeating myself moving forward because I'm laying down the foundation of the foundation is set.
But I'm going to be talking to you today about decisions and success ultimately starts with a decision. As I look back over the past couple of years, not in a point of rumination, but rather out of a point and an energy of reflection, I recognize most of the people who I was friends with a couple years ago or who I wanted to partner with or who I worked with, a lot of them are in the same place that they were a couple years ago.
Pretty much all of my friends and family are in the same place or a worst place and I'm not saying any of this to be disrespectful. And if you're listening to this and we used to talk and you feel like this is targeted at you it's I'm not talking about one specific person. I'm talking about pretty much the majority of people in general. A lot of people have stayed in their places. They say that they want big things they say that they want big results that they want massive success. Yet, they all lack one particular trait, or not a particular trait, but they lack one particular action, one action step.
And that is a decision. They did not make the decision to become successful in their particular field. They did not make the decision to make being an artist their full-time career.
They did not make the decision to make that business their full-time business. they did not make the decision to stay committed to whatever it is they were wanting to pursue at the time. If you wanted to do a podcast, you have to make the decision to continue with it and to stick with it. Now, that means that that doesn't mean that there might not be periods of time where you're not as consistent as you should be with your content. I've experienced plenty of those, but at the end of the day, I pick up the reins and I go back to where I started. I go back and I record another episode.
I record another podcast. And over time, you become more in love with the process. You become more in love with what it is you are doing.
And I look at a lot of these people and they say that they want it, but they actually don't follow through with it. And I'm not trying to talk about my own results here. But I looked at a lot of what I have done over the past couple of years and that persistence that I've had. I just haven't given up and I don't know why. It's just like this one voice in my head has just continued to tell me and just like Isaac push forward, Isaac, push forward, Isaac, push forward. To where no matter the struggle, I always seem to continue climbing out or I continue going to new levels.
And it's because I've been persistent, but I've also made the decision to become successful. I made the decision to, no matter what happens or no matter what challenges I am faced with, I will make it to the other side.
I will go ahead and achieve these goals because I am prioritizing the benefit and I'm prioritizing the end result, right? The results, which is financial freedom, the results in showing people what is possible, right? I talked about that in episode 46. The results of living a damn good life that I could have only dreamed of when I was younger. And I have just never given up. And now I'm not talking about talking about your why, you know, make sure you have a why. Why are you doing all of this? Like there's not one particular reason why you do the things that you do. Chances are it's accumulation of a bunch of different decisions.
It's accumulation of a bunch of different reasons why. There's not just one selective thing. And most people say that, oh yeah, find your why.
And that just sounds fluff to me. I'll be honest, it's just a bunch of fluff. It's the same thing with living up to your potential. A lot of people think that you can only live up to your potential with your health, and you can't live up to your potential when it comes to your finances. Or it's like it's one or the other. And the one thing I've never understood is why not have it all? It's not an attitude of greediness, but it's an attitude of, hey, I got one life to live, so why not be the best at everything I could be the best at?
Why not live up to my potential when it comes to my health? When it comes to my relationships, when it comes to my self-education, do I wanna learn a couple languages?
Well, why won't I learn a couple languages? Because I'm either in my way, or I'm either pushing myself forward. And see, if I could leave you with one word of advice, if I could leave you with one actionable step that you could take and that is to actually make a decision to become successful and whatever it is you might be doing. You know, even if you're not certain as to what you are wanting to do or what you are pursuing still, make the decision to be persistent, to be annoying about, annoying about your success and just make it happen. Make it happen. If you really want to stand out, you're going to have to show the world that you're standing out.
And the way that you do that is proving it to yourself, proving that what it is you are pursuing, you will achieve because there is no other way.
It's burning the ship's mentality. It's like, I am doing this. I'm going all in and I, and this is my decision. I am firm in my decision. When you make decisions, you don't second guess yourself. And if you do second guess yourself, you never follow through with that second guess. You're like, you know what? Maybe you have those moments of doubt. Maybe you have those moments in your life to where you're like, I don't know if this is really it for me. And then you circle back and you never cross over that line. You might recognize that, hey, you know, you're maybe reflecting over some of the things you've done.
Maybe you're reflecting over, you know, hey, is this the right business for me or is this the right path that I'm on? But deep down in your heart, if you know that this is what you should be doing, then don't digress.
Don't take a step back. Don't do that. Keep moving forward continuously pursuing your goal and don't let anything else get in your way, make the decision to do so and all success starts with a decision. Once you have that decision made and your mind made up and it might take time to develop and strengthen that decision, I know that it wasn't just one particular moment in my life where I was like, this is it? No, it was a series of different decisions that I made that end up contributing to my mindset, developing my mindset, evolving the way that I thought. And then therefore, if I look back, I realize that over the span of a couple moments in my life, those decisions all added up to get me to where I am today and will continue getting me to where I am going tomorrow.
I have no doubt in my mind that this, the thing that has got me to the point today will not continue to get me to the point where I'm going. It's the same exact thing success is oftentimes duplicatable. So make the decision in your life and be on the lookout for more content guys.
