Welcome back to another episode of Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman the podcast. I'm your host and this is a Friday fire episode. This is going to be really quick. This is going to be straight to the point and this is going to be something that will give you a pick me up if you're feeling down. This isn't some motivational clip, but this is something that is raw. This is honest. This is truthful. And this is some big brother advice and I don't mean like big brother like 1984, but big brother and yo, I care about you. I care about your well-being. I care about your success and I want to see you win.
So guys, it's been a little bit over a month since I've done a Friday fire episode. I've been going through some crazy life changes and I did not do what I needed to do to continue with my podcast over the past month.
That is my fault. I recorded a couple new episodes. I dropped episodes 37 and 38 that were a discussion on personal branding. Make sure you go back and listen to those episodes. But I did not stay consistent with my schedule of releasing an episode every single Monday and every single Friday. And that is what is driving me to record this episode right now. And that is why you have to put one foot in front of the other. No matter what struggle you are going through in life right now, I understand that with COVID, with everything going on, you're probably stressed out, you might've lost your job, you might've lost a couple of clients, I know I did, you might've been under an immense amount of stress over the past couple of months. And you might be struggling right now.
You might be dealing with depression. You might be dealing with anxiety. You might be dealing with the imposter syndrome. You know, with all of these things going on in the world and then you are thrown into the mix with the presidential election and just all of these stimulants, you're probably going crazy. And if you're not going crazy right now, I know that one time in the past, I don't know how long has it been? Six months that we've been locked down, you have felt one of the ways that I mentioned a minute ago. and guys, it matters, but it doesn't matter. I'm not saying that you shouldn't feel your emotions, that you shouldn't feel how you feel, but at the same time, you have to realize that these emotions are not going to help you get to where you want to go to in life.
These goals that you have set for yourself, the lifestyle you wanna live, the places you wanna go, the money you wanna make, the people you want to see, the family you wanna build, It is not going to happen if you are staying in the past, if you were staying in yesterday, or if you were letting all of the stressors of life hold you down. It just won't happen. And I say this in the most loving way. I say this in a way of such empathy, but also in a firmness that I think a lot of people need right now, especially. We live in a society that almost promotes being, you know, very soft. We live in a society that promotes settling. We live in a society that promotes listening to everybody else, but not listening for yourself.
It promotes making sure that everybody else is fed, but you don't feed yourself. And it's great to care about other people. It's great to care about what's going on. It's great to stay informed with the election. It's great to stay up to date with COVID statistics and all this other stuff. But at the same time, guys, you got to control the things in your own life before you focus on going out into the world and venturing on solving everybody else's problems. Chances are you have done too much of that in the past six months. I know I have. I've wanted to do a lot of different things for my family.
I wanted to, you know, change a couple different situations and I'm not going to speak on, but I just was over exerting myself in the areas of life that I shouldn't have been over exerting in where I should have been going 110% in with my own life, my own vision, my own hustles.
I was going in 110% in 100 different ways, trying to help 100 different people. And I don't regret it, but at the same time, now moving forward, I'm like, man, you know, the better off I get, the more focused I get, the better off these other people are going to be just by naturally watching how I move. And I'm leading from a distance. I'm leading from a distance. And part of being a leader is doing shit that you don't want to fucking do. Excuse my French. But literally guys, one foot in front of another, you got to keep going no matter how difficult life gets.
Think about seal training, right? In order to become a Navy Sealer, this honestly goes for any special force training. You could be a Green Beret, you could be a Navy Seal, you could be an Army Ranger, you could be in the British, you know, secret forces like SAS, like James Bond type thing.
Regardless during their training they go through mud they go through snow they go through rain it doesn't matter They have an objective and they are going to go ahead and achieve that objective no matter what no matter What goes on in their environment? They are going to adapt and they are going to overcome they are mentally not going to let anything that goes on around them affect their mission and their target mission is Getting through seal camp, right? It's getting through their training or it's getting through that day's mission. That's how you have to treat your life. You have to treat your business. You have to treat your goals and you have to treat your vision.
This show is called Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman and the only way that you can ever chase after your vision and obtain it or obtain the different segments of your vision because I don't think that we're ever going to achieve 100% of our vision.
Hear me out on that. I say that because I think the vision is ever evolving. I think the vision is growing and expanding and getting bigger and bigger with every single day. The bigger goals that you meet, the bigger your vision grows because you're like, hey, I could go ahead and achieve something that is even better. And so guys, what I mean by this and what I mean by what I'm saying is you have to continuously move forward, adapt and evolve and overcome. You have to have this militant mindset. This almost like no matter what goes on, no matter what happens in my family, no matter what happens in my friend group no matter what happens on the social media in the election I'm going to be ruthless about my goals.
A lot of times that is looked down on in society because we have this you know level of of softness overcome that disregard it and go after what it is you really want in life. Give yourself permission to actually pursue these things. Give If you're self-permissioned to be one of the 1% of people who actually has the willpower and for lack of a better word, has the balls to go after what they really want.
It's not easy. We still got 90 days left in 2020. We don't know what challenges you're going to come. We don't know the outlook of the election. We don't know any of this. And I'm not trying to speculate what's happening, what's going to happen, none of that. But just know that no matter what situation you are presented with, you are going to be able to get through it and you're going to be able to get through it and come out on the other side stronger than you were going into it. You are much more capable than you give yourself credit for and that's something that I've had to learn for myself.
I have developed this mentality and it's like the only way that you can actually get these goals and lose the weight that you want to lose or make the money that you want to make or live the life that you want to live is by having this mindset that is almost like it's Laser focused.
It's laser focused. And it doesn't matter how injured you could get. It doesn't matter what obstacles you could be faced with. You are going to get it. Guys, stop making excuses for yourself. Grow a pair and go after it. Much love. And until this upcoming Monday, have a fantastic weekend. And I will catch you on the next episode.
