What is going on everybody? Isaac Mashman here. You are now listening to episode number 30 of Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman now last week's episode or I don't want to say last week but episode 29 was more of a very, very fiery topic. And I encourage you guys to go back and listen to that. I do. I do because I mentioned a lot of things that have to do with our current situation in society and I mentioned a lot of value. So if you're not caught up yet go back and listen to that. If this is your first time listening to the show, thank you so, so much.
I really appreciate you. You know, Chase the Vision is all about helping other people chase after their dreams and having massive, massive success. That is a big goal of mine. I want to help as many people as possible achieve massive results and massive success in their life based off of the things that I have learned, based off of the experiences I have, you know, lived. And I think that we all have something to share. I think that we all have something that we can learn from another individual or that we can give as a way for that individual to learn from us. So this is what the show is all about.
So thank you for listening. And before I jump into what I'm going to be talking about today, I have an amazing episode lined up. I would ask a favor of you. I would like to ask a favor. And that favor is if you get any ounce of value, which I'm sure that you will go ahead and share this with a friend of yours. And I ask that you do that for every single episode that I release and that you listen to. If you get value, share it with somebody who you've never shared it with before. That is the only way that this show can grow.
You know, I'm not spending a lot of money on advertisements. I'm actually spending zero dollars at the time of recording this on any advertisements. This is all coming organically. And the way that organic growth works is you guys helping me grow. You know, I am here trying to provide value. And if you guys could help me by trying to get my numbers up, man, that's a win-win situation in my book.
So today I'm going to be talking about why it is important to always be aiming higher. Why it is always important to be taking action and have your eyes set on a new level. You know when I look back over my life and when I look around and think about my family members and think about friends that I've had and people in my life and those that I've been surrounded with, I come to some very unfortunate conclusions and I know that sounds It's like super depressing, but I literally have come to some sad conclusions because most of the people around me have stopped growing. They've stopped looking for higher levels of success. They stopped looking for new achievements and stopped setting goals or some people have never even set a goal in their entire life.
You know, I'm not somebody who came from a middle class background or an upper class background. I'm not, I wasn't a trust fund baby. I wasn't born into money. My grandfather was a carpenter. My mom's worked in retail. You know, a lot of her life, she's worked at Fast Food, trying to provide for me as a single mom for a lot of my life. My grandmother was a housewife, you know, like that's my background. I'm not coming from money. I'm coming from let's go and eat off of the dollar menu and you don't order a, you know, a soda when you go out to a restaurant, you order water to save those two dollars.
You get the great value can of beans rather than the bushes can of beans, you know? And I don't want to say there's nothing wrong with growing up like that because there is something wrong with that.
can't provide as well as you should be able to provide for your family. Whether that's health care concerns, whether that's dental concerns, you know most Americans, the majority of Americans of a health crisis came up in their life today, they would not be able to pay for it. They would go into debt if they had a medical emergency. And God, that is just, it's horrible. It honestly is horrible. You know, by looking around and examining and having an open mind about, you know, the way I was raised and looking at the people around me, I noticed that they all have one thing in common and like I said, they don't set goals and they become complacent. They become comfortable. Napoleon Hill in his book Outwitting the Devil, there's an amazing audio, the audio version of it on SoundCloud.
Napoleon Hill Outwitting the Devil, it's a four-hour audio worth listening to. I've listened to it multiple multiple times all the way through. He talks about people who drifts and the people who drift in their lives really just live without purpose. They live without a chief aim, without a chief reason to be alive. You know, and that's what most people around us do. Unless someone is trying to move up in their company or trying to start a business or trying to improve their lifestyle or trying to improve themselves, they are drifting. They're just living and waking up every day, not knowing why they're waking up. They're living but not thriving.
They're breathing but not really living. And it's not the right way of doing things. You might be like, who am I to say that that's not the right way of doing things.
Well, it's looking at the basis of, we have one life to live and we need to make the best out of this life that we're given. We have one shot at this. And not only saying that, but we have a one in 400 trillion chances of being alive and being the exact person we are today. And so with those numbers and those statistics alone, we are in favor. You could have been a tree, man. You could have been a cockroach. Like you could have been anything other than a human, but you are here with a cautious mind, with a mind that you are able to control and program and to create massive things and massive success and massive results and unique inventions and provide services that nobody else would have ever been able to provide or to make music that nobody else would ever be able to make.
God is that so powerful. That is so so powerful. There is only one Beethoven, one Vincent van Gogh, one Salvador Dali, one Thomas Edison, one Nikola Tesla. There's only one of those people and just like there's only one of them, there's one of you. So what are you going to really do with your life? Well, I can tell you one thing and give you a suggestion on where to start and that is to always set goals and then have a high level of self-awareness to where you understand if you are ever becoming complacent. You know, I've taken a rather slow week the past week and I've spent a lot of time writing, I've spent a lot of time, you know, just kind of in my head and in my thoughts and thinking and absorbing and talking with amazing people and I recognize that the one thing I was doing lot this week was nothing.
I was doing a lot of nothingness. And I was like, man, that got so easy to do. It became so, so easy for me to just not do anything. And that's a major issue. That's a problem, man. That is a problem. But there's one thing about doing it for a week versus doing it a lifetime or versus doing it for 10 years, staying in the same job that you're in that you hate for 10 years, even though you want to get a different job, you just never go out and get the different job.
It's as easy as you make it. But those seven days that week could easily lead to a year. That week that leads to a year could lead to a decade that could lead to a lifetime. And that's dangerous. It's extremely, extremely dangerous. I only use danger, I use dangerous a lot, but it is because dangerous is a threat. And I see complacency as a threat to your future. It is a threat to your success and to your goals. I think that's a title of the podcast episode right there. It's, you know, let me digress for a second. If we're given one shot at this, if we're given one chance to make this great and to make our life great, we have a series of smaller chances, but one actual life. We should always be aiming higher.
We should have our sights aimed on another level. We might not be at that level physically, but mentally we are already there. Mentally you are aiming towards something greater than your current self. You're aiming for a situation for a career, for a lifestyle that is greater than your current physical circumstances. That goes to speak about paradigms, The way that you view things, the way that you view life, are you viewing life on the level that you are at, are you viewing life on a higher level, a higher degree of success? You know, I heard from a mentor of mine that when you have 10 cents to your name, think like you have a million in your bank account. But when you have a million dollars in your bank account, think like you have 10 cents.
It's powerful. That's powerful. But what I want to focus on is when you have 10 cents, thinking like you have a million, You might be on a low physical plane, a low physical level, but if your sites are set on that million dollars in your bank account and then you follow those thoughts and you follow those emotions with massive action, you will receive those massive results and achieve your goals. You know, I'm not one of those people who talks about everything in life and the law of attraction and thinks that you can just sit there and write out your goals every day and just think it into existence, to think it into reality.
I'm not one of those people because it's not the way life works. That's not the way the law works. The law works when you work.
You have to have a vision of where you're going, or you have to start in the first place, and then you execute. You take action. The law of reciprocity, what you give, you get back. Like what you give, you return. Some might call it karma. I call it the law of reciprocity. You know, if you've ever been a jerk to somebody and they become a jerk back to you, Are you really surprised? But if you're nice to somebody, a lot of times they're going to be nice back. Not always. Some people are just sour about life. You know, have you ever done something nice for a person or opened up a door for another individual going into a store or going into a restaurant and they just don't say anything to you? That's one of the most annoying things ever.
I've remembered I've opened up the door for so many people and they just walk through and I'm like, man, gosh. But those people who walk through and never say thank you Those are the people who are complacent in life. Those are the people who have become comfortable and who have stopped growing. The phrase live without limitations. I adopted because I recognized the one key principle in living a happy and fulfilled life is never to stop, or to never stop growing rather. Geniuses learn from the mistakes of other people. Idiots don't learn at all. And I would like to think that you would learn from the people around you, you would learn from their mistakes. You wouldn't repeat those same mistakes. Complacency is a horrible place to be in. So that being said, guys, it's a rather short episode.
Always be aiming for a higher level. Always be looking forward, always be looking up, never be looking down and never be looking back. I feel like it's so easy to focus and dwell on the past. We almost prevent ourselves from living a really great present. Our present actions lead to our future life. The future is already set into stone if you want it to be. Your present self is just catching up to it. So guys, we've got any ounce of value. Like I said, please share this with a friend of yours. And you know, you can follow me at Isaac Mashman on all social media platforms and go to @isaacmashman.com.

And this is for those of you who are serious about really taking control of your brand and your career and, you know, aiming for a higher level goes hand in hand. So have a phenomenal day. Thank you for listening and always live without limitation. Stay tuned for next week's episode.
